HISPANIC HERITAGE CELEBRATION, TUESDAY OCTOBER 25, from 6 - 8:30 pm in the School Gymnasium. There will be representations from different countries such as Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, Cuba, Spain, Mexico, etc. there will also be cultural food, have music and dance. FREE admission.
Pumpkin Pancake Party : Tuesday, October 25, 8:30-9:30 open to ALL parents only if they are ADDitions approved.
Class Fall Festival : October 31 from 12-2, Open for Parents to attend but they will not receive volunteer hours.
The calendar you recieved with fun activities for the month of October is optional. You may complete as many or as few activities as you would like, however Ms. Basham encourages you to complete some because it gives you an opportunity to be engaged in your child's learning. The due date would be at the end of October for those who choose to turn it in.
Pearson Success Ms. Basham will be giving out information on a great interactive tool to use with your children at home. It is called Pearson Success ( pearsonsuccessnet.com ). This is a website that includes videos the children are using during Math in class. It will allow you to reinforce learning at home and revisit the activities completed in class. More information will be sent home this week. Look for it in your childs binder!
AT HOME VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES: parents may go to fcrr.org and print off reading/language arts activities to complete at home and send in to class.
